Meet Your Counselor

Hi, I’m Darlena Cochran — a Licensed Professional Counselor with a heart for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and reconnect with their most authentic selves. I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and counsel adults (18+) dealing with a variety of issues such as grief & loss, depression, anxiety, religious wounds, and other concerns.
My approach to counseling is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, and Strength-based techniques to guide clients toward healing and growth. At the core of my work is the belief in the quiet courage it takes to be your true self, and my goal is to empower you to become someone you can be truly proud of.
Creating a safe, trusting environment is a priority for me, and vital to the therapeutic alliance. I want every client to feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether you’re seeking clarity, strength, peace, or simply someone to walk with you through a difficult season, you are welcome here.
When I am not in the therapy room, you’ll find me soaking up the healing power of nature — running, paddleboarding at the lake, or enjoying time with my husband and our beloved dogs. Life is full of movement, connection, and quiet moments that matter. I bring that same energy and presence into my work with every client.
Let’s work together to help you reconnect with who you are — and who you’re becoming.
